Critical: Connector Compatibility Audit Required
DO NOT ORDER WITHOUT VERIFYING YOUR CHASSIS CONNECTOR TYPE.
The original GM Metri-Pack 150-Series (4-position square) connector is notorious for overheating and failing. Because of this, many vehicles have been converted to the upgraded Metri-Pack 280-Series (4-position flat) connector via a pigtail splice.
Please audit your current vehicle harness:
- Original 150-Series Square Connector: If your vehicle still utilizes the factory square connector but you are upgrading to a modern module with the 280-series flat bulkhead, you require the FPWH-017.
- Converted 280-Series Flat Connector: If your chassis harness has already been spliced and converted to the 4-position flat connector, you must use the FPWH-023.
Camaro/Firebird Owners: This harness is no longer recommended for F99 1999-2002 models. Please see our FPWK-017W.
View the images above to confirm your module's connector and mating harness compatibility.

High-performance fuel pumps require a robust power source to perform to their full potential. On average, a high-performance turbine pump requires twice as much power as a factory pump. Factory wiring is engineered to be "just enough" for factory requirements to save manufacturer cost and weight. Field tests show that running a performance pump on factory wiring can cut output by 30% or more.
The Racetronix FPWH-001 plug-and-play harness is designed to remove all fuel pump load from the factory circuits. By drawing power directly from the alternator's battery terminal—where voltage is typically 1-2 volts higher than at the battery—your pump can provide up to 20% more fuel. Our 10-gauge stranded copper wire reduces resistive power loss to near-zero levels.
BGK8 (Battery Ground Kit): We highly recommend the BGK8 kit. This upgrades the under-rated factory ground wire from the battery to the chassis, providing an 8-gauge copper path with accessory taps.
PBIC (Pump Booster Interface): The FPWH-001 comes equipped with an interface connector for the plug-and-play addition of a pump booster or voltage amplifier (e.g., MSD or KB units) via our PBIC connector set.
