Connects a 3/8" NPT port to -8 AN plumbing with a 90-degree swivel turn.
The Racetronix ADF-499108 is a 90-degree swivel adapter with a 3/8" NPT male (tapered pipe thread) on one end and a -8 AN JIC male (37° flare) on the other. Screw the NPT end into a 3/8" NPT port on a pump, filter, regulator, gauge, sensor or block, and connect a -8 AN female hose end or swivel to the JIC end. The NPT end has its own hex: tighten it into the port first, then turn the elbow body, which swivels on it, to point the JIC end at your hose.

The NPT end is a tapered pipe thread and seals on its threads: use a fuel-safe thread sealant (PTFE paste) on the NPT threads only, and keep it off the first thread so none gets into the system. The AN end seals metal to metal on its 37° flare, not on the threads. Do not put Teflon tape or thread sealant on it.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need thread sealant?
On the NPT threads, yes: NPT is a tapered thread that seals on the threads, so use a fuel-safe sealant such as PTFE paste. Never put sealant or tape on the 37° flare end; it seals metal to metal.
Will it fit a BSP port?
No. NPT and BSP threads have different thread angles and, in some sizes, different pitches. Check that your port is NPT before ordering.
Is it E85 compatible?
Yes. It is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized, and works with gasoline and E85.
