per EACH (USD)Adapter, -6 AN JIC Male to M14x1.5 Saginaw Female (O-Ring Style), Black
Connects a GM-style M14x1.5 Saginaw male fitting to -6 AN.
The Racetronix ADF-6JM1415SGF has a -6 AN JIC male (37° flare) on one end and an M14x1.5 Saginaw female on the other. Saginaw metric O-ring fittings are used on GM and other North American power steering and fuel systems from about 1979 on.
A Saginaw joint does not seal on its threads or on a flare. The male has a short pilot tube with an O-ring; the female has a bore that receives the pilot and a seat for the O-ring. Tightening the nut presses the O-ring into its seat. This adapter is the female: thread an M14x1.5 Saginaw male hose end or fitting into it.
Key features
- -6 AN JIC male (37° flare).
- M14x1.5 Saginaw female, pilot bore and O-ring seat.
- For power steering and fuel systems.
- E85 compatible.
- 6061-T6 aluminum, black anodized.
Earlier GM systems (before about 1979) used 45° inverted flare fittings with the same nut threads. This adapter is the metric O-ring style; check which style your pump, gear or line has before ordering. The Saginaw end seals on its O-ring and the AN end on its 37° flare: no tape or sealant.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my fitting is Saginaw O-ring or inverted flare?
Disconnect the line and look: an O-ring on a short pilot tube means O-ring style; a 45° flared tube end with no O-ring means inverted flare.
Is the O-ring included?
The O-ring sits on the male fitting that goes into this adapter.
Is it E85 compatible?
Yes. It is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized, and works with gasoline and E85.
