Product Overview
The Bosch 0 280 158 490 is a high-performance EV 14 injector featuring the "Compact Extended Tip" (KT) body geometry. This injector shares the standard 33.6mm installation length (O-ring to O-ring) of other Compact injectors but features a distinct Extended Tip nozzle. This design allows the spray point to sit deeper in the intake tract, which is critical for manifolds where the injector mounting boss is recessed or where the spray must clear specific port obstructions.

The 0280158490 uses the EV 14 KT (Compact Extended Tip) body geometry. It features a standard compact body length (33.6mm) but with an elongated nozzle tip for specific cylinder head requirements.

Technical Note: Flow Rating & Fluids
Bosch calibrates injectors using N-Heptane as a standard test fluid. However, most engines run on Gasoline, which has a higher density. We provide both ratings for transparency:
Volume (cc/min) = Mass Flow (g/min) ÷ Fluid Density (g/cc)
- N-Heptane (0.684 g/cc): 500 ÷ 0.684 = 730.9 cc/min (Industry Standard Rating)
- Gasoline (~0.720 g/cc): 500 ÷ 0.720 = 694.4 cc/min (Real World Estimate)
- Factory new Genuine Bosch High-Performance Fuel Injector.

- Shipped in factory-sealed Bosch boxes or in bulk bagged format as provided by Bosch.
