Product Overview

The Bosch 0 280 158 040 is a high-performance EV 14 injector featuring the "Compact Extended Tip" (KxT) geometry. This extended nozzle design allows the injector tip to bypass shrouded injector bosses or thick intake flanges.

  • Mass Flow Rate: 670 g/min (Official Bosch Specification).
  • Volumetric Flow: ~980 cc/min (N-Heptane) / ~931 cc/min (Gasoline). *See Tech Note
  • Fuel & Seal Compatibility: Features high-quality Viton O-rings (Black Upper / Brown Lower) and stainless internals. Fully compatible with E85, Methanol, and Gasoline.
  • Precision Control: High-impedance coil (12 Ohm) allows for precise fuel control even at low pulse widths (idle).

Dimensions & Fitment

The 0280158040 uses the EV 14 xT body geometry. It shares the same 33.6mm upper body length as the standard "Compact" injector but features a significant nozzle extension.

Technical Note: Flow Rating & Fluids

Bosch calibrates injectors using N-Heptane as a standard test fluid. However, most engines run on Gasoline, which has a higher density. We provide both ratings for transparency:

Volume (cc/min) = Mass Flow (g/min) ÷ Fluid Density (g/cc)
  • N-Heptane (0.684 g/cc): 670 ÷ 0.684 = 979.5 cc/min (Industry Standard Rating)
  • Gasoline (~0.720 g/cc): 670 ÷ 0.720 = 930.5 cc/min (Real World Estimate)
  • Factory new Genuine Bosch High-Performance Fuel Injector.
  • Factory installed o-rings top and bottom.
  • Shipped in factory-sealed Bosch boxes or in bulk bagged format as provided by Bosch.
  • Flow Matching: Injectors sold individually ("each") are not flow-matched by Racetronix. Flow matching is only available on specific pre-packaged sets (packs) when and if available. Purchasing multiple individual units does not guarantee a matched set.
  • Absolutely no returns on open-box fuel injectors. Know your application before making your purchase.
