1. Our IPH-008 intermediate harness and FPWH-008 upgrade harness are required to maximize fuel flow and eliminate electrical issues with this module. This module must not be run on the factory wiring. These items are listed under add-ons on the bottom of this web page.
2. All GM / Delphi / AC Delco part numbers do not include the factory sensor assembly where the Racetronix unit does.

This module is direct-fit in all C5 Corvettes manufactured 2003 1/2 and later with VIN # 114931 (last six digits) and up as well as all C6 Corvettes through 2013 excluding the ZR1. This module will fit all Corvettes listed under the TU 475 and TU476 fitment. The proper level sensor must be selected in the drop-down menu below for the proper model years (2003-2006 or 2007-2013).

This harness will work in all C5 Corvettes manufactured 2003 1/2 and later with VIN # 114931 (last six digits) and up as well as all C6 Corvettes through 2013 excluding the ZR1.
* When installing a new pump or module our IPH-008 intermediate pump harness is required to replace the undersized factory harness. This harness runs between the driver's side wheel well to the connector on the fuel module at the top of the tank. This harness plugs into our FPWH-008 at one end and the fuel pump module at the other. Access to this area (dropping the tank) is required to install this intermediate pump harness so it must be done when changing/upgrading your pump.
Why use a Racetronix Fuel Pump Upgrade Harness?
Alternator-direct power for maximum voltage / true plug & play with GM-type connectors:
The Racetronix plug & play upgrade harness maximizes pump voltage and performance by bypassing the factory wiring, relays and fuse center to provide alternator-direct power. The Racetronix harness also prevents damage to the factory wiring and fuse center when running high-performance pumps which far exceed the factory circuit's power handling capability. It is not uncommon to see a 10-20% increase in pump volume and a bump in pressure especially when running high-flow pumps. The harness is fully 'plug & play' so it is installed without cutting into the factory wiring. The entire harness is waterproof made with the same interconnect components used throughout your C5. The harness' operation is quite simple. The factory power wire which was once used to supply the fuel pump is used to trigger a Racetronix relay which in turn supplies power directly from the car's alternator with fused protection.
NOTE: It is imperative that the factory fuel pump circuit is functioning properly for this harness to be 100% plug and play. It is common on some C6 Corvettes where the factory fuse and/or relay contacts are damaged (melted). If this is the case it is possible to bypass these components and power the Racetronix relay directly from the PCM thereby eliminating the costly and complex repair to the fuse / relay center. Redundant grounds = improved voltage & reliability:
A redundant ground is provided which loops into the harness. This loop enhances the pump's ground providing a two-fold improvement.
Pump booster PnP ready:
Installing a fuel pump booster / voltage amplifier (KB BAP or MSD) in a 2003+ C5/C6 will pump performance 20-50% depending on the output voltage and pump type. Installing a booster by cutting into the factory wiring harness is a very bad idea since it will greatly overload the factory circuits causing damage. Splicing is not required with the Racetronix harness as it is equipped with an intermediate high-current connector just after the relay. This allows for easy plug & play addition of a pump voltage booster. The Racetronix harness removes the increased load off of the factory wiring created by the booster's amplification process. The Racetronix harness only supplies power to the pump booster when the vehicle computer commands fuel pump operation so there will be no parasitic load on your battery when the engine is not running. The Racetronix harness allows the booster to be removed easily should the need arise. The booster is easily mounted inside the open area behind the driver's side rear wheel well covering where these is plenty of room, good ventilation and minimal exposure to the elements. This area is easily accessible and prevents the booster's installation from adding to under hood clutter. An optional connector set is available so that any booster can be adapted to plug into the Racetronix harness. The Racetronix harness further enhances the pump booster's performance by eliminating the factory wiring's voltage drop which would require more voltage amplification as compensation. The heavy 10 gauge power feed is more than capable of handling the 20+ amp load generated by the booster and pump at elevated voltages. The best part is that the Racetronix harness is so easy to install that the labor savings will usually pay for the harness itself when compared to hardwiring a permanent solution from scratch.

PBIC - Pump Booster Interface Connector Set
The Racetronix harness comes equipped with an interface connector just after the relay. This connector in combination with an optionally supplied connector set (P/N PBIC) allows for easy plug and play addition of a pump booster / voltage amplifier such as the MSD or KB units. These voltage amplifiers / boosters will allow the Racetronix single in-tank pump system to support an additional 100-200 flywheel HP (B.S.F.C. dependent) when run at 16-17 volts. This configuration offloads the excessive current draw placed on the factory wiring onto the heavy gauge Racetronix harness system. System diagnosis becomes easier by simply being able to unplug, isolate and bypass sections of the wiring system.
IPH-008 - C5/6 Intermediate Pump Harness
The IPH-008 in combination with our FPWH-008 are required when upgrading the in-tank fuel pump in order to maximize performance. The factory harness is three gauges of wire smaller which will have a dramatic impact on pump performance due to excessive voltage loss. Cars using a pump booster will have substantially improved performance and reliability when using these upgrade harnesses. This combination of harnesses will help eliminate the all too common problem with the factory fuse panel melting and failing when running an upgraded fuel pump and booster off of the factory wiring.
