Connects -6 AN plumbing to a 1/4" BSPT port.
The Racetronix ADF-6J14PTM has a -6 AN JIC male (37° flare) on one end and a 1/4" BSPT (British Standard Pipe, tapered) male thread on the other. Screw the BSPT end into a 1/4" BSPT port, common on European and Asian pumps, filters, coolers and sensors, and connect a -6 AN female hose end or swivel to the JIC end.

The AN end seals metal to metal on its 37° flare, not on the threads. Do not put Teflon tape or thread sealant on it. The BSPT end is a tapered pipe thread and seals on the threads: use a fuel-safe thread sealant on it, and keep sealant off the first thread.

Frequently asked questions
Is BSP the same as NPT?
No. BSP threads have a 55° thread angle and NPT threads 60°, and the pitch differs in some sizes. A BSP fitting may start in an NPT port but it will not seal. Check that your port is BSP before ordering.
Can I use it in a BSPP (parallel) port?
No. A tapered thread will not seal in a parallel port. Use the BSPP version, which seals on a washer.
Is it E85 compatible?
Yes. It is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized, and works with gasoline and E85.
