Connects -6 AN plumbing to a 1/8" BSPP port.
The Racetronix ADF-6J1828B has a -6 AN JIC male (37° flare) on one end and a 1/8" BSPP (British Standard Pipe, parallel) male thread on the other. Screw the BSPP end into a 1/8" BSPP port, common on European and Asian pumps, filters, coolers and sensors, and connect a -6 AN female hose end or swivel to the JIC end.

The AN end seals metal to metal on its 37° flare, not on the threads. Do not put Teflon tape or thread sealant on it. The BSPP end is a parallel thread and does not seal on its threads either: it seals on a bonded (Dowty) washer or O-ring against the port face.

Frequently asked questions
Is BSP the same as NPT?
No. BSP threads have a 55° thread angle and NPT threads 60°, and the pitch differs in some sizes. A BSP fitting may start in an NPT port but it will not seal. Check that your port is BSP before ordering.
Can I use it in a BSPT (tapered) port?
It is not recommended. A parallel thread in a tapered port only engages a few threads and cannot seal on a washer. Use the BSPT version for a tapered port.
Is it E85 compatible?
Yes. It is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized, and works with gasoline and E85.
