Joins 1/2" OD hard line to a -8 AN male (JIC) hose end or fitting, with no flaring.
The Racetronix ADF-JF8HL8 connects 1/2" outside-diameter hard line to -8 AN plumbing. The compression end has an internal brass olive (included) that slips over the tube. When you tighten the compression nut, the olive compresses onto the tube to grip and seal it, so the tube does not need to be flared. The other end is a -8 AN JIC female (37° flare) that threads onto a -8 AN male hose end, union or port.

The compression end seals on the brass olive and the JIC end seals metal to metal on its 37° flare. Do not use Teflon tape or thread sealant on either end. Cut the tube square and remove any burrs before you fit it.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to flare the tube?
No. The brass olive grips and seals on the outside of the tube. Slip the nut and olive over the tube, cut the tube square, deburr it, push it fully into the fitting and tighten the compression nut.
What tube does it fit?
Hard line with a 1/2" outside diameter. Measure the outside of your tube, not the inside, and pick the matching size from the lookup chart.
Does the condition of the tube matter?
Yes. The olive can only seal on a tube of the correct outside diameter with a smooth, clean surface. Tube that is rusted, pitted, scratched or out of round where the olive sits will leak. Clean the end of the tube and replace any section that is not smooth.
Is it E85 compatible?
Yes. It is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized, and works with gasoline and E85.
