| Includes | Nut (socket) and fitting head |
| Material | 6061-T6 aluminum, black anodized |
| Fuel compatibility | Gasoline and E85 |
Fits Racetronix RBSH stainless-braided and RBNH nylon-covered rubber hose, and standard-bore braided rubber (CPE) hose from other makers with standard AN inside and outside diameters. If you are not sure, compare the bore and outside diameter of your hose with ours. It does not fit PTFE hose, push-lock hose or nylon tube. For PTFE hose, use our PTFE hose ends.
The fitting is E85 compatible. The limit is the hose: although most CPE rubber hoses are rated for fuel, every CPE liner breaks down over time with fuel and solvents, and fuel smell around a parked vehicle is common. For long-term fuel lines we recommend our conductive-lined PTFE hose and PTFE hose ends. Rubber hose suits oil, coolant, vacuum and boost lines.
How it assembles
The hose end is two parts: the nut (socket) and the fitting head with its threaded nipple. There is no olive or ferrule.
- Wrap the cut mark in masking tape and cut the hose square with a thin cutting disc or fine-tooth saw. Trim any loose braid strands.
- Hold the nut in soft vise jaws and push the hose into it with a twisting motion until it bottoms against the step inside the nut.
- Mark the hose at the back of the nut with tape or a marker, so you can see if it pushes out while you tighten.
- Put a little grease on the nipple and its threads. We use silicone grease; wheel bearing grease also works.
- Start the fitting head into the nut by hand, then tighten with an aluminum AN wrench until the hexes are close (a gap of less than about 1/16" is normal). Check that the mark has not moved.
- Blow the hose out and check the assembly for leaks before you put it into service.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my hose?
It fits Racetronix RBSH stainless-braided and RBNH nylon-covered rubber hose and other standard-bore braided rubber hose. It does not fit PTFE hose, push-lock hose or nylon tube. Compare bore and outside diameter if you are unsure.
Can I use it on PTFE hose?
No. PTFE hose needs a hose end with a ferrule (olive). See our PTFE hose ends.
Can I reuse it?
Yes. The nut and fitting head can be reused. To remake a joint, cut the hose back to fresh hose and assemble again.
Can I use it for fuel?
The fitting is E85 compatible. CPE rubber hose breaks down over time with fuel, so for long-term fuel lines we recommend PTFE hose and PTFE hose ends.
Is it E85 compatible?
Yes. It is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized, and works with gasoline and E85.
