DUAL-SEALING PORT VERSATILITY: JIC & ORB

The primary advantage of the SOV-62 series is the Universal Female Port design found on both sides of the valve. These ports are precision-machined to accommodate two distinct sealing mechanisms, giving the customer total flexibility in plumbing:

  • JIC 37° Flare Connection: Perfect for traditional high-pressure hardlines and hose ends, allowing for a rock-solid metal-to-metal seal.
  • ORB (O-Ring Boss) Sealing: Features a machined landing for an O-ring seal, providing a leak-proof connection for modern high-performance fuel rails and pumps.

Customer Choice: You are no longer locked into one fitting style. This valve adapts to your system, whether you prefer JIC or ORB sealing.

FULL-BORE "ZERO-RESTRICTION" DESIGN

Most shut-off valves create a "bottleneck" because the internal ball opening is smaller than the rest of the fuel line. Our valves are engineered for Zero-Transition Flow:

The JIC Bore Match: The valve opening in the ball is the exact same size as the JIC Bore Diameter. Because there is no transitional size change within the valve, flow restriction is eliminated. This maintains laminar flow and prevents the pressure drops common in inferior valves, ensuring your fuel system performs at its peak.

TECH TIP: Why Viton® GF-600S is Essential

Please note that Viton® GF-600S seals and O-rings are significantly superior to standard Viton. While standard Viton is prone to "Volume Swell" when exposed to Ethanol or Methanol, GF-600S is a high-fluorine, peroxide-cured elastomer specifically engineered for:

  • Enhanced compatibility with Alcohols (E85 / E98 / Methanol).
  • Resistance to aggressive race fuel additives and oxygenates.
  • Extended service life in corrosive environments.

By combining Stainless Steel internals with PTFE seats and GF-600S seals, these valves are chemically "bulletproof."
