Weather Pack Hanger Adapter for HD Turbo Buick Harness

Connects the FPWH-076HD harness to a fuel pump hanger with a 3-position Weather Pack connector

The FPWH-076HD HD fuel pump harness has a 3-position Metri-Pack 280 output connector. Factory Turbo Buick hangers, older Racetronix hangers and many aftermarket hangers still use a 3-position Weather Pack connector. This short adapter plugs in between the two, so you can run the HD harness without changing your hanger.

Weather Pack is the weak link with high-output pumps

Weather Pack connectors are limited to about 20 A. With high-output pumps they can run very warm, cost pump performance and eventually fail. The adapter makes the connection work, but it can’t raise the hanger connector’s rating. For high-output pumps, a Racetronix FPS-G7 EQ-series hanger with the Metri-Pack 280 connection built in is the better long-term fix.

Use with a Racetronix hotwire harness only

This adapter is not designed to power a high-performance fuel pump hanger from the factory fuel pump wiring. Doing so will void all warranties.

Frequently asked questions

I bought an FPS-G7255EQ or FPS-G7255EQ2 hanger. Do I need to order this?

No. Those hangers ship with an FPAH-077 in the box.

I have an older harness with a Weather Pack output and a new Racetronix HD hanger. Is this the right adapter?

No. That combination needs the FPAH-076, which goes the opposite direction.

Can I plug my hanger straight into the factory wiring with this?

No. The adapter is meant to sit between a Racetronix hotwire harness and the hanger. Factory pump wiring can’t carry the current a high-performance pump needs, and using it this way voids all warranties.
