Critical Installation Warning (JIC Fittings):
When installing this kit on your fuel hanger, you MUST use a backup wrench to support the male JIC fittings on the hanger tubes. Failure to support the fitting will cause the metal tubes to twist, resulting in permanent damage to the hanger. Additionally, ensure the 37° flare sealing surfaces are clean and free of scuffs; overtightening or mishandling JIC fittings can compromise the seal and lead to persistent leaks.

Compatibility Note: This kit is intended for 1st Gen Stainless Steel hangers with AN ports. For newer hangers with EFI Quick-Connect ports, use the FLK-G7B3. For Billet hangers with ORB ports, use the FLK-G7B5.
UPGRADE PATH & MODERNIZATION

If you are upgrading your fuel system components, you do not need to replace your entire FLK-G7B2 hose assembly. You can modernize your kit with the following fitting head swaps:

1. EFI Quick-Connect (B3 Standard): To interface with newer Racetronix SS hangers:

2. Ultra Low-Profile Banjo Return: To upgrade your regulator return to our latest design:

Installation Tip: When using the **FIT-P6B1415M** with a Racetronix regulator, the fitting utilizes its integrated O-ring for a direct ORB seal. For other brands of regulators or factory-style units, you may require the following hardware to ensure a positive seal:

Note: Swapping fitting heads does **not** require cutting the hose. Simply unscrew the existing head from the hose nut and replace it with the new component.

TECHNICAL Q&A
1. Why did Racetronix move away from JIC hanger fittings?

A. While JIC 37° flare fittings provide a high-pressure seal, they proved to be labor-intensive and prone to user-error during installation. Without the use of a backup wrench, the hanger tubes were easily twisted and ruined. Furthermore, the sealing surfaces are sensitive to scuffing and damage. To provide a more robust and user-friendly solution, we transitioned to EFI Quick-Connect (FLK-G7B3) and eventually direct ORB (FLK-G7B5) connections.

2. Will this connect to my 2nd Gen "Q-Series" hanger or Billet hanger?

A. No. The B2 kit is only for legacy hangers with male JIC/AN threads. If you have a newer hanger with 3/8" and 5/16" push-on EFI Quick-Connect ports—such as the FPS-G7W525EQ—you must use the FLK-G7B3. If you have our new Billet DPFS-G7 series hangers, use the FLK-G7B5.

3. Why is the Racetronix Banjo fitting used on the regulator?

A. Our custom-machined metric Banjo fitting provides a high-flow path with a low-profile footprint. This design is critical for the Turbo Buick intake runners, providing the necessary clearance while ensuring a full-bore discharge for the regulator.

4. How is Hytrel® superior to the PVC coating found on other hoses?

A. PVC is a cheap plastic that becomes brittle and cracks when exposed to heat and chemicals. DuPont™ Hytrel® is a premium elastomer that remains flexible and protective across extreme temperature ranges, ensuring your fuel lines look and perform like new for the life of the vehicle.

5. Are these lines field-serviceable?

A. Yes. Racetronix uses premium reusable swivel fittings rather than permanent non-swivel crimps. This allows for precise alignment during installation and full serviceability in the field using standard tools.

6. Does the PTFE hose eliminate gas fumes in the garage?

A. Absolutely. Unlike rubber (CPE) hoses, our **American-made PTFE hose** has near-zero permeability. This feature eliminates "fuel smell" permeation entirely and provides a lifetime of compatibility with Gasoline, E85, and Methanol.
